Syllabus

UX Design is a broad field that covers many design and research areas. It can be overwhelming to embark on this journey due to the vastness and complexity of the subject. While it is not necessary for a designer to be an expert at everything, we do recommend that designers familiarize themselves with all of these areas.

This is not a comprehensive guide and should not be used as a replacement for more formal or structured education.

Craft

Craft is the core skillset of the Designer, represented in their ability to make things and supported by the best-practices and collective knowledge of the design industry.

Process

A process can be described as a systematic approach to solving problems. A good process encourages designers and teams to consider the challenge thoughtfully, identifying the metrics by which the success of a solution can be measured.

Research

Research drives thoughtful and considerate problem solving by surfacing insight and nuance about the problem and the context surrounding it. Research identifies opportunities, reduces risk, and measure the impact of design.
